Returns, Exchanges & Warranty Policy

Custom-Made Orders

All Chic Shades Co. products are handcrafted to your specifications. Because each shade is made to order, orders can only be cancelled before production begins for a full refund. Once production has started, orders are non-refundable and cannot be returned except as outlined below.

Replacement Guarantee (30-Day Window)

We want you to love your new shades. To ensure complete confidence in your purchase, we offer a replacement guarantee for qualifying orders of 8 or more shades, available within 30 days of delivery.

Eligible customers may replace up to half of their shades free of charge, for any reason.
If you choose a different shade style or material for your replacement (for example, upgrading from roller shades to woven wood), any price difference between the original and new product will apply.

Conditions:

  • Available only for orders of 8 or more shades.

  • One exchange opportunity per customer.

  • Applies within 30 days of delivery.

  • Returned items must be in their original condition.

  • Price differences for upgraded items still apply.

Warranty Coverage

  • All motors and standard shades: 3-year limited warranty

  • Honeycomb shades: 1-year limited warranty

If a covered item malfunctions under normal use during the warranty period, please contact us with photos and your order number. If the issue is determined to be a manufacturing defect, we’ll repair or replace the product at no additional cost. Returned items may be required for inspection.

Lost Packages

If a package is lost in transit, we will coordinate with the carrier to trace it. If the package cannot be located, a replacement order will be issued. Refunds are not available for lost-in-transit shipments.

Wrong Size Policy

  • If you provided measurements: Please see the Replacement Guarantee section for exchange options.

  • If Chic Shades Co. measured your windows: We’ll remake or resize your shades — free of charge — if any sizing issue arises.

Steps to resolve:

  1. Contact our customer service team within 30 days of delivery.

  2. Provide your order number and photos showing the issue.

  3. We’ll coordinate the correction or replacement.
